A tour in the University (Sebelas Maret University)

UNS is one of outstanding universitites in Indonesia which is academically excellent. It is located in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. UNS has been recognized as one of the best universities in Asia (rated two stars by QS Stars in 2014) and has been becoming a new point of interest of scholars as well as students from around the globe. UNS has also been ranked as the third best universities in Indonesia by the National Accreditation Bodies for Higher Education Institutions. The stable rising rank of UNS at the webometrics (http://www.webometrics.info/) also shows that the world has acknowledged the reputation of the university.

Studying in UNS means experiencing a unique life in Solo since it lies in the center of Javanese culture in Central Java.

The university is surrounded by green, cultural, and peaceful environment. The wide green area in UNS campus comforts its society with fresh and cool air. I see a lot of big trees here pine trees, mahogany, acacia. This one in the picture caught my attention because of it's big roots.

When I was walking around the campus I saw this very high building and I asked my buddies what department is that, and they told me that it's their University library. They told me that the UNS library is consist of 7th floor with the old and new building. We ate on the underground part of the library and tasted one of their famous food which is the Mie Goreng. After that we go on the first floor, you can buy books here in affordable prices. The 3rd floor is the room for international students, Where foreign students can have their research in this floor. I meet one of Filipino student their his name is Rodger Sigaya Eliab Jr. from iloilo city, he recieve a scholarship from this school and he is taking a bahasa Indonesia course. I'm glad that we meet him. I wish him goodluck and see each other again. On the 7th floor is where the new museum of the university found, where old machine, pictures, publications, instruments and pictures of the president from generation are found their. Excellent service is the main principle of the UNS Library. They serve with smiles, greetings, courtesy, and courtesy to accompany and serve the entire academic community and dear readers while at the library or through the official site. For the amenities, the UNS library are equipped with various facilities, such as; Reading Room, Reading Park, Computer (OPAC for Information Searching library materials), Canteen, Coffee Photographs, Internet, Lockers (bag cases), Individual study room (independent study room), Collection Room, Mosque and Seminar Room. Their library is really a source of knowledge and learning.
